Frequently Answered Questions

Information You May Need

We want to prevent any issues that may come up as you browse through our collection. That’s why we’ve provided comprehensive answers to some of our most frequently asked questions, which are listed below.

Delivery / Collection

We offer two options for UK shipping (excluding UK postcodes not covered by Royal Mail UK pricing), and local collection is available by prior agreement. Shipping prices are determined by the total order weight.

Standard shipping is by Royal Mail Tracked 48

Express shipping is by Royal Mail Special Delivery (before 1pm)

International shipping (including all UK postcodes not covered by Royal Mail UK pricing) is available, please contact us for details on your order, as this will be based on parcel weight and value, and may be subject to extra charges.

Do you sell gift cards?

We don't at the moment, but we are working on this for the future.

What are the payment options?

We take card payments when you order online.

Cheque or bank transfer payment will be accepted, however the order will not be processed until the funds have cleared into our account.

Cash payment can be taken in person, however, the order will not be processed until the payment has been made.

Do you take commissions?

We absolutely do, we love commissions! Just drop us a line using our contact form, or by email.

What materials do you use?

Our craft blanks and kits are all made from FSC certified wood, mostly 3mm MDF (medium density fibreboard), with some 3mm plywood. Our other items, painted and other, are similarly created from FSC certified woods, including MDF, beech ply, oak and pine. There may be occasions where we use other woods, but all will have been sourced responsibly. In the case of our wooden earrings, other jewellery and smaller items made from oak, pine, sapele mahogany and other (more exciting) wooden pieces, the wood used will be either recycled from larger items such as furniture, or offcuts from the production of products created by artisans we work closely with.

The paints we use are all non toxic (although we still don't advise actually eating any of them, they aren't nutritious or delicious and you'd not be able to enjoy them as decorative items if you consume them), and the varnish and lacquer we use is also non toxic once dried. Embellishments are sourced from reputable stockists and locally sourced where possible.

All of our clothing blanks (except upcycled and repurposed items) are sourced from a local Devon distributor, and details are available on the apparel page.

Our jewellery findings are all hypo allergenic. We use surgical steel and sterling silver (see item description for details) and 24 carat gold is available on request for an extra charge.

Can I come and browse the range?

Yes! SpiderBunny Studio doesn't have a dedicated brick and mortar store (sadly not even a log cabin in the woods store, but we are working on that!), but we do have ranges stocked in various local and not so local shops, details are available on our where to find us page.

We also trade at local and not so markets regularly throughout the year, and have a busy schedule of Christmas Markets, so check out our events calendar to see where we are headed. We will update our social media feed with advertising closer to market dates too! If there is a market you think we should be at, drop us a line!

How about Wholesale?

Wholesale is something new for SpiderBunny Studio, but we are very excited about it! If you would be interested in stocking our products in your retail store we would love you to get in touch. We are also interested in commission based sales and happy to discuss options.

If you've got a school, organisation or club and would like to purchase LayerCraft© on a wholesale basis, drop us a line and we can talk about that as well.

Small businesses, we would love to work with you too - we can offer our LayerCraft and home decor/giftware blanks without the extras, just ask!
